2009	CHOICE Administrators® Launches Choice Builder, the first ancillary-only benefits program of its kind for California employers. The Word & Brown Companies launches HealthCompare, which works with brokers and carriers to help individuals and families easily research, compare, buy, and enroll in the right health insurance plan at the right price.
2008	CaliforniaChoice® launches HR Support Center, a free service that provides professional human resources support and information to brokers and small-group employers (those with 2-50 employees).   CHOICE Administrators® introduces HSA California®, a new employee-choice program for employers with 2-50 employees.   CaliforniaChoice® launches its EPIC Hearing Service Plan, a new discount hearing program that gives CaliforniaChoice® employers and their staff free access to programs and services, such as diagnostic hearing tests and hearing aids. The plan is offered in partnership with Ear Professionals International Corporation (EPIC).   The Word & Brown Companies acquires Quotit® Corporation, the leading Internet application service provider for the health insurance and employee benefits industry, servicing 50 states and the District of Columbia. Quotit has relationships with more than 120 insurance carriers representing more than 11,300 plans in the health, life, dental and vision insurance markets. Combined, The Word & Brown Companies now serves more than 50,000 insurance brokers across the nation.
2007	The new John Word & Rusty Brown Hearing Aid Center at Providence Speech and Hearing in Orange, Calif. was opened in honor of John M. Word III and Edward J. "Rusty" Brown, Jr.
2006	Word & Brown® General Agency introduces Word & Brown Quoting Online, a revolutionary new Website-based quoting engine that enables brokers to compare all health plans, rates and benefits and create customized proposals instantly.   CHOICE Administrators® introduces Kaiser Permanente Choice Solution, a unique defined contribution, Employee Choice program for employers with 2 to 50 employees - offering 7 flexible Kaiser Permanente benefit plans along with Dental, Life, and AD&D, all in one program with one consolidated monthly bill.   The Word & Brown Companies surpass the 800-employee mark.   CONEXIS introduces a new online quoting engine giving brokers and employers the ability to instantly generate customized quotes for COBRA administration services.
2005	CaliforniaChoice enters into partnerships with The Bancorp Bank and Mellon Financial Corporation to offer consumers more HSA solutions through the CaliforniaChoice Website.   CaliforniaChoice exceeds membership of 10,000 small business groups, totaling more than 165,000 covered lives.   The Word & Brown Companies surpass the 700-employee mark, with offices in Orange, Los Angeles, Inland Empire, San Diego, San Jose and Dallas, Texas, and staff located throughout the nation.
2004	CaliforniaChoice introduces an online tool for consumers to compare hospital quality, outcomes and costs. CaliforniaChoice introduces an online HSA Resource Center and establishes a partnership with HSA Bank so consumers can easily establish and manage an account directly with the FDIC insured banking partner.   CaliforniaChoice 51+ is launched to provide an Employee Choice benefit program for groups with 51-199 employees. CONEXIS implements the nation's first performance standards and guarantees program available to clients of any size.   Word & Brown expands its service locations by opening an office in the Inland Empire.
2003	CONEXIS acquires the assets of CompLink, a Dallas-based firm with innovative Web-based technology and an established clientele including Fortune 500 employers. CONEXIS expands to become the nation's leading provider of COBRA and HIPAA administrative services, Flexible Benefits Administration (FSAs, HSAs, HRAs) and Direct Bill Services.   Word & Brown introduces CHOICE Administrators®, a platform for creating private label, Employee Choice benefits programs like CaliforniaChoice throughout the country.   CaliforniaChoice introduces a secure and comprehensive Website for brokers to manage their business and for employer groups to administer their health benefits.   CaliforniaChoice offers a High Deductible Health Plan that qualifies for the new Health Savings Accounts (HSA) created by Congress as part of a Consumer Directed Healthcare program.
